The Registration Desk for SWCO 2011 will be located on the Ballroom Level outside the Hamilton
Room. Please register as soon as possible after checking into the hotel to obtain your badge and
registration packet. Both Pre-Registration and On-Site Registration will be located in the same area.

Attendance and Name Badge Policies
- Official name badges are required for all registrants - O.D.s. Paraoptometrics, as well as
Spouses/Exhibit Hall guests, Students and Exhibitors. These are issued upon registration.
- Badges are NOT transferable.
- SWCO 2011 badges must be worn for admission to all educational classes and/or the Exhibit
Hall.
- Only those wearing Doctor or Paraoptometric name badges will be admitted to the educational
courses.
- Spouses who wish to attend lectures must register either as a Doctor or as a Paraoptometric.
- The Spouse/Exhibit Hall name badge will not be accepted for lecture attendance.
- All conference guests including doctors, spouses and children over 12 must have a name badge
for entry into the Exhibit Hall.
- By April 15, 2011, SWCO will compile all completed CE credits and e-mail each attendee and their state optometry board(s) a copy
of their transcript.
ARBO and COPE Information
- If you would like your completed CE credits listed in the COPE database as well, enter your OE Tracker number in the designated
field on the SWCO registration form. SWCO will send the completed CE credits of all ODs who provide their OE Tracker number to
ARBO/COPE.
NOTE: To download your credits from COPE you will have to pay a $20.00 annual administrative fee to ARBO.
- Professional Responsibility Course: As an added service for Texas Optometrists,
please feel free to pickup a copy of the Texas Ethics Course on CD-ROM, available at the
front desk. Course fees and credit are through the Houston College of Optometry and not
through SWCO. Limited quantities available and are on a first come, first served basis.
- Hotel information and registration:
Southwest Council of Optometry has contracted with the Dallas
InterContinental Hotel for special attendee rates of $139.00 per night.
This is a substantial discount from the advertised rate. Please follow this

February 9, 2011.
If you need extra nights before or after the meeting, you will need to contact

- xhibit Hall badges are available at the Registration Desk for a fee of $35.00 .
- Children under age 12 are admitted free.
- To replace a lost or misplaced badge, you must present a photo ID and pay a replacement fee
of $25.00.
