WELCOME TO SOUTHWEST COUNCIL OF OPTOMETRY!   

I would like to invite you to SWCO 2008 “Big Doin’s In Big D” March 7-9 at the Intercontinental Hotel.  North Dallas, with its superb dining, shopping and entertainment, is a great place to get the best education in the southwest.

SWCO is known for its excellent education opportunities and 2008 will be no exception.  Top quality speakers providing the best education available will give you exciting new and useful information to take home to your practice.  As always, you will have several tracts of COPE approved education to choose from including the popular rapid fire presentations and this year the allergy and glaucoma symposiums.   Check out the popular breakfast seminars.  There will be education for every interest.

Docs, don’t forget to bring your staff.  The multi-tract schedule will provide information for staff of all skill levels with 16 hours of attainable ABO or AOA certified classes.  This year there is an all day management tract for the leaders of your practice.  We have reduced the registration fee so it is more affordable to send all your staff to one meeting.  Remember, the more educated your staff, the better you look!

Back by popular demand is the raffle for an $18,000 TelScreen digital imaging system.  Stop by their booth and check out this amazing system.  The winner will also receive installation and training.  You don’t have to be present to win and can purchase the tickets online at www.SWCO.org.  The more you buy, the greater your chances.  Last years proceeds went to the optometry schools in the council.

 Our exhibit hall will provide you with all the latest equipment, supplies and services with special pricing.  We have scheduled plenty of time for you to get the hands on evaluation needed to make important practice decisions.

 Once again, SWCO will be hosting the state leaders meeting which brings relevant topics for discussion that affect all of the states.  For the past several years, it has been our honor to have many of the AOA board present to give insight on national issues.
